Idaho Challenger Little League started in 1991, is a division of Little League International under the national Little League Challenger Divisionยฎ and is a non-profit organization.

The Little League Challenger Divisionยฎ was founded in 1989, and is Little Leagueโ€™s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges. Any individual with a physical or intellectual challenge may participate. If an individual can participate in the traditional Little League Baseball or Softball program with reasonable accommodations they should do so.

Idaho Challenger Little League is a valley-wide league that is open to players from any participating district league areas.

Idaho Challenger Little League actually encompasses three different leagues and offers the following for players to participate in:

  • Minor League (4 โ€“ 12 years old)
  • Junior League (12 โ€“ 17 years old)
  • Senior League (18 years old and up)

Idaho Challenger Little League is a fully volunteer endeavor that is graciously and lovingly organized by Tammy Cluff and relies on the assistance of many other volunteers and sponsors to make it work.

Volunteers participate in the following capacities:

  • Team coaches to instruct and guide the players.
  • Team parents to organize and manage the players in the dugout and communicate with the players’ parents.
  • Picnic staff to plan and coordinate the end of season awards gathering.
  • General volunteer to assist Tammy with some of the many tasks required.
